Parasitic Moskovia came to the end: 2% of export is not too attractive market

The prime minister of the Russian Federation Medvedev declared that negotiations of the EU, Ukraine and the Russian Federation concerning conditions of a free trade regime between Ukraine and the EU came to the end with a total failure. He told: «Ukraine and the European Union aren't ready to sign the legal transaction which would consider interests of Russia».

According to Medvedev, such situation doesn't suit him: «We repeatedly said to the Ukrainian authorities that implementation of trade and economic part of the agreement with the EU infringes on interests of the Russian Federation and creates risk for economic security of our country».

Cecilia Malmstrem, the European Commissioner for trade, after the whole day of negotiations didn't understand what exactly is wanted by the Russian Federation.

The European Commissioner told: «We were surprised when Putin a few days ago signed the decree on stay of action of FTA (free trade zone) between Ukraine and Russia. However we decided that at the request of the Russian side it is all the same necessary to hold this meeting today and to see, whether that Russia has desire to find compromise solutions. We conducted the whole day negotiations, but any consent didn't find. We had 22 meetings at the different levels earlier. We were open to hear concern of Russia and together to look for decisions in controversial issues. However it was talked only of one: to postpone FTA between the EU and Ukraine. Such position is unacceptable. Therefore, these negotiations are completed finally».

Actually «concerns of Russia» are quite clear: with the entry of Ukraine in a free trade zone with the EU Moskovia will lose the 400-year feeding trough. That is, opportunity further to parasitize at the expense of Ukraine. And this fact brings leaders of the Kremlin into full fury. And therefore Medvedev signed the decree about grocery embargo against Ukraine already today.

At the beginning of December, 2015 Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the prime minister of Ukraine, declared that the Cabinet of Ukraine will introduce the bill which will allow the government to impose the corresponding mirror trade sanctions against the countries aggressors in the Verkhovna Rada.

The Russian Federation already more than half a year pursues against Ukraine policy of secret economic sanctions з the purpose of preventive intimidation. It agrees with official data, at the moment (December, 2015) export of the Ukrainian production to Russia makes only 2% of total number of the Ukrainian export. Therefore Ukraine didn't grieve because of the Kremlin sanctions, and the EU market not rather is more than from the Russian Federation market. Besides, as a result of the American-European sanctions the consumer market Russian Federation is fatally reduced.
