Lukoil goes away from Lithuania and Latvia

The Lukoil company intends to sell the assets in Lithuania and Latvia. The head of the company Vagit Alekperov said in interview to Russia 24 TV channel.

Alekperov told: «Now offered our assets in Lithuania for sale and in Latvia, where rather serious anti-Russian moods. Therefore, during board of directors, we made the decision to leave these countries. We don't intend to expand a network of gas station in the European countries as in plans of the enterprise is provided to be engaged in segments of geological exploration and production of oil».

We will remind that Lukoil (JSC Lukoil) is the vertically integrated private oil company; the second the largest (the first – Yukos) in Russia and the sixth in size among the private oil companies in the world. There was the sixth.

Earlier the Lukoil company sold all the assets and in Estonia.

The real reason of leaving the company the countries of Baltic consists not in the anti-Kremlin moods of local population, and in the increasing deficiency in Russia of money. And money is necessary to Putin for «the last and decisive battle with imperialistic America».
